Ground Hog Day
Do you remember Bill Murray in the film Ground Hog Day? The premise is Bill Murray is a TV weatherman who relives the same day over and over again while on location in a small town to film a story about their annual Ground Hoh Day celebration. It drives him mad!
That’s sort of how real estate buyers are feeling these days. They wake up every morning to find there is little inventory for them to buy (sigh!). The houses that do come on the market are snapped up quickly – most with multiple offers – which also leaves those that don’t “win” the house disappointed about another one that got away. Like I said, reliving the same day over and over.
I sound like a broken record, right? Kind of like Bill Murray.
So what’s the answer? More listings, of course! (This is my hint to reach out to me if you are considering selling your house.) I have buyers backed up reliving the same day, day after day. Preapproved buyers who are ready to go when the right house comes along.
Maybe that house is yours? Or your neighbors? Or you Uncle Roy’s?
Oh, and if you haven’t seen Ground Hog Day, it’s worth your time. An oldie, but a goodie!
