End of Summer Events, 2022

Summer is coming to a close and school will be starting in a few weeks, but there is still time to enjoy several events in and around Madison.

Here are a few options for you to take advantage of as we squeeze in as much as possible in the coming weeks!

August 26th – Burgers on the Bay – Brittingham Boats – Do not miss your chance to try a tasty burger while floating on Monona Bay. Celebrate the end of summer the Madison way with live music and food.

August 31st-October 29th – GLEAM – Olbrich Botanical Gardens – An annual outdoor art exhibit, features large scale light installations created by local, regional, and international designers. Take an enchanting stroll through Olbrich’s 16-acre garden and tropical Bolz Conservatory after dark and see the Gardens in a whole new light! Tickets required.

September 2nd – Music by the Water – Wingra Boats – 5:30-7:30 p.m. This neighborhood party is in conjunction with Monroe Street Merchant 1st Fridays. With a band, food trucks, kids activities, and more, this is an end of summer must. 

September 3rd – UW Badger Football Game – UW vs. Illinois State, Camp Randall Stadium. Tickets required.

September 9th – Madison Night Market – 4:00-8:00 p.m. State Street. – Vendors showcase handmade products, local art, artisan gifts, prepackaged foods and fresh produce. The event includes live music, artists, special visiting food carts and pop-up restaurant experiences.

September 10th – UW Badger Football Game – UW vs. Washington State, Camp Randall Stadium. Tickets required.

October 7th & 8th – Crackle – Olbrich Botanical Gardens – Watch the flames from bonfires dance on the Great Lawn, groove to live music, enjoy a variety of food offerings provided by some of Madison’s favorite food carts, and sip frothy Wisconsin micro-brews! Tickets required.
